The geomorphology team is delighted to have been accepted for the project proposal 'GEO-XR: XR for geographical spatial analyses'. The project is led by Dr C. Büdel and Dr A. Tintrup gen. Suntrup.

On November 13 and 14, the Handelskongress [Trade Congress] 2024 will take place in Berlin, featuring high-profile keynotes, including speakers from politics. Dr. Sina Hardaker will moderate the strategy forum on digital marketplaces.

Prof. Georg Stauch and Dr. Angela Tintrup (both from the Chair of Geomorphology) welcome the new students in the M.Sc. Physical Geography program. We wish all students a good start to the new semester and a successful study in Würzburg.

On October 10, 2024, the annual meeting of geography department heads from Lower Franconia took place at the Armin-Knab-Gymnasium in Kitzingen. The event opened with a lecture by Dr. Daniel Abel on "Climate Change in Lower Franconia" in which he analyzed recent extreme events such as heatwaves, droughts, and heavy rainfall, while also examining possible future developments under various greenhouse gas scenarios.
