Remote Sensing of the Land Surface (MICMoR)
As a partner institution in the Helmholtz Research Training Group MICMoR (Mechanisms and Interactions of Climate Change in Mountain Regions) the chair is also involved in the education and training of graduate students. From 08 to 12 October 2012, the Technical Course "Remote Sensing of the Land Surface" took place at the University of Würzburg. In addition to MICMoR fellows, graduate and postgraduate students from Germany and abroad took part in the five-day course.
The aim of the course was the teaching of basic knowledge in the field of remote sensing for vegetation monitoring and the evaluation of data using the free software R.
Course content:
- Introduction to remote sensing
- Introduction to R
- Applied Remote Sensing
- Remote Sensing Classification Procedures
