Science Award for Physical Geography 2023 of the Prof. Dr. Frithjof Voss Foundation for Prof. Dr. Julia Meister

Jun.-Prof. Dr. Julia Meister has received the Science Award for Physical Geography 2023 from the Prof. Dr. Frithjof Voss Foundation - Foundation for Geography. The Science Award is awarded to young scientists on the basis of their previous work for outstanding, forward-looking scientific or methodological achievements that have made or will make a significant contribution to the progress and reputation of geography. The award was presented to Julia Meister personally by the Foundation's Executive Board at the DKG in Frankfurt am Main on 21 September.

Julia Meister will use the €3,000 prize money to fund her project entitled 'Investigating agricultural terraces to understand pre-Columbian land use dynamics in the southern Peruvian Andes'.
